CAN YOU GIVE AWAY JUICE FOR A PR EVENT FOR OUR FASHION SHOW ?

We aren’t motivated by free fashion PR to to give away our offerings. If you are part of a non profit looking for food to genuinely feed hungry people who cannot afford it please contact us. To those at this time we have on offer: could share our commercial kitchen for 2 months for free, pulp + coffee grinds ( top quality waste that can be up-cycled. ) Could give away 10kg of buckwheat groats as we have extra.

WHAT IS YOUR PRIVACY POLICY ?

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us and we will never give your personal details to any outside company for marketing purposes without your permission. We collect only the information that we need from you to provide you with the best service possible.

We use your name and address to deliver your juices to you and for billing as required to make a purchase relating to your credit card.

Emails sent by http://eastlondonjuice.com relating to your orders and bookings are not optional and are intended to ensure you are fully informed about your upcoming bookings.

WHAT ARE YOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS ?

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By using this website and placing an order with us you are agreeing to the conditions that appear below. These terms and conditions were last updated 16 June 2015. We may change these terms and conditions so please check them before placing an order.

You can contact us at any time using the contact details on our website.

PAYMENT

We reserve the right to terminate our agreement with you if we are refused authority from your card issuer for payment or we reasonably believe that payment will be refused. You agree to compensate us in full against any and all reasonable costs and expenses (including reasonably legal costs) that we may incur in obtaining payments due from you that you have not made in accordance with your agreement with us as set out in these terms and conditions.

All payments must be placed in advance, unless expressly agreed in writing by us.

All cancellations must be received no less than two working days before your start date. Cancellations may be made via our website or once specifically accepted by a member of our team via email or telephone. Cancellations shall be taken to include postponement of a booking to a different date and changing the type of programme booked or the number of participants. Please see our Ordering Policy for further details on order and cancellation deadlines.

No refunds will be made after a cleanse programme has started. Exceptionally, refund requests due to medical issues may be considered at our discretion, based on written proof of condition from your GP.

Please note that we reserve the right to change prices without prior notice.

We accept payment by credit or debit card over the phone or via the website. We do not accept cheques or cash on delivery. Your booking is not confirmed until we have received payment.

As this website sits on a server based in the United States, we hereby inform you that by placing an order on www.eastlondonjuice.com you automatically give consent to having your personal data transferred to the U.S.

DELIVERY

We will make delivery to your address as stated when you set up an account or update that address. You are responsible for making suitable arrangements to receive your delivery and giving us appropriate instructions. You are responsible for ensuring that any delivery point given for a work address is acceptable to your employer for personal deliveries. If it is possible that you may be unable to accept delivery in person you must provide us with a back up contact person who will be available.

In the event that your delivery is stolen from your doorstep or other place specified to us or damaged while there we do not accept liability and will offer compensation only at our discretion.

If we are unable to deliver to the address that you have given to us for any reason, we will attempt to contact you to make other arrangements. We will normally contact you using the telephone number that you have registered on your account and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are available on this number. If we are unable to deliver in such circumstances, we reserve the right to charge you for that cleanse in any event.

If we are unable to deliver to you, or have to deliver late, for reasons beyond our control, for example adverse weather conditions, strike actions, vehicle breakdown, traffic congestion or supplier failure, we cannot accept liability for any inconvenience or loss this causes.

We will not charge you for products that we have not delivered in accordance with these terms and conditions. Otherwise our liability in respect of incorrect delivery is limited to the price of your cleanse.

Changes to your delivery address must be notified to us within our order deadlines. We are not obliged to accommodate late changes to your delivery address.

REFUNDS

You must inspect your package as soon as possible after you have received it and notify us promptly if you find any defects by calling or emailing us using the contact details on our website. If you do not let us know by 1pm on the delivery day of any such problems you will be deemed to have accepted the package and we will not refund or replace any item.

In the case of a late delivery, you must call or email to inform us by 1pm on your start date, at the latest, if you have not received your package. After this time you will be deemed to have received and accepted the package and we will not refund or replace any item.

HEALTH AND NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION

Specific health or dietary requirements or objectives cannot be guaranteed. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate specific dietary needs and may refer you to your GP. There is no substitute for a private consultation with a qualified nutritionist, naturopath or other health professional to discuss your individual requirements. Please contact us if you would like a recommendation for a suitable professional.

We regret that we are unable to deliver to those who have allergies that result in anaphylactic shock or diabetics who are insulin dependent.

While the website and other information that we may send you provides general information on health and nutrition this does not in any way constitute medical advice and is not tailored to your specific requirements.

http://eastlondonjuice.com's juices are made in a kitchen that contains nuts. In ordering from us you acknowledge that we cannot be held responsible for any reaction that you may have to nuts or any other ingredient. If you do have a nut allergy you need to contact us in writing.

If you have specific dietary requirements you may contact us to discuss these. We may be able to accommodate your requirements in whole or in part at our discretion on a case by case basis. However, we shall not be responsible in any way for failure to meet your requirements.

We do not make any health claims about our products.

AVAILABILITY OF THE WEBSITE

Although http://eastlondonjuice.com aims to offer you the best service possible, we make no promise that our website services will meet your requirements and we cannot guarantee that the service will be fault free. If a fault occurs with the service, please report it to us as soon as possible using the contact details on our website and we will correct the fault as soon as we reasonably can.

Your access to the website may be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will restore the service as soon as we reasonably can. In the event that our website is unavailable, our usual order and cancellation deadlines apply.

While we try to ensure that material included on the website or any other material is correct, we cannot accept responsibility if, despite our endeavours, this is not the case. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising under or in relation to these terms and conditions.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY ?

Sustainability + environmental awareness is very real for us and central to our ethos. We aim to showcase + support positive sustainable + social practice in the industry.

Live + work is all mostly within walking distance. This means the only fuel we use when travelling to work is (wo)manpower!

We will continue to review our practices and update our environmental policy. Our longer-term goal is to complete the circle with farming practices to supplement our produce cycle and to be running the venue on solar + renewable energy sources.

Finally, in line with the latest environmental research by the UN, by choosing plant-based cuisine and reducing our consumption of animal products, we together reduce the significant environmental impact that food choices play on our planet. This, above all else, is the most sustainable choice that we – both as individuals and as a social group - can make, in order to produce an impact on carbon emissions, rates of global water consumption and pollution, land degradation and more.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COLD-PRESSED JUICE + JUICE I MAKE AT HOME?

East London Juice Co. juice is cold-pressed - our cold-press method of juice extraction provides a minimum mixing of air with the juices which results in very slow oxidation. The juice press gently extracts the natural fruit sugars, vitamins, trace minerals, enzymes and other integral elements, providing you with the highest form of natural juice power possible. This way, we let the juice do the talking in all of its pure, natural glory; bottled without any preservatives, thriving for a cool 72-hour shelf life. Most household juicers/ places that make juice in front of you are typically ‘rotary’ or ‘centrifugal.’ As the blade inside a centrifugal juicer spins at a high speed, it generates heat which oxidises and separates the nutrients naturally found in whole fruits + vegetables, rendering those nutrients that make it into the juice less potent and requiring immediate consumption.

DO YOU PASTEURISE?

We love nothing more than food in all its natural splendor, so no, we don’t pasteurise. Pasteurised juice is heated to a high temperature for a short time before it is sold. About 98% of all juices sold in the UK are pasteurised, namely because it prolongs the shelf life of juice and is cheaper than not pasteurising. Pasteurisation for even cold-pressed juices (which most, ironically, are) renders most juice nutritionally inept. We would rather promote the consumption of pure, high-frequency, cold-pressed fruits + vegetables and therefore, we mindfully press, bottle and sell a truly raw + unpasteurised product.

WHAT IS ‘HPP’ AND WHY ISN’T EAST LONDON JUICE CO.’S JUICE TREATED BY IT?

HPP is an acronym for High Pressure Pascalisation (or High Pressure Processing). HPP is most easily explained as a preservation technique that subjects the juice to a quick heat up + cool down process. Similar to pasteurisation, HPP extends the shelf life of raw juice well beyond 72 hours (weeks and months). It is a technology that more conscious conumers are becoming more aware of and we’ve found that many of the cleanses that say they are not pasteurised actually use this method. There’s a lot of controversy in the juice world around this especially in North America. East London Juice Co. is not HPP’d and is untreated in all the other ways (flash pasteurisation, preserving extracts, etc.)

I JUST WANT TO DO A JUICE FAST/ DETOX/ CLEANSE.

Many of the popular juice companies have taken something really good and made a cleanse into something less than ideal, often using subtle body shaming as a sales tactic and it’s no great surprise when the body + mind react adversely to these techniques. We strongly oppose to some of the online advertising we see encouraging new breastfeeding mums to just drink juice for 5 days, teenage girls to drop a dress size and targeting and fuelling our societies many insecurities. A complete fast from solid food can be a miserable affair and goes against what our experts say; we do not disturb your eating patterns, so instead let’s embrace food – why ever not? We are not condoning fasting for cultural or religious purposes. 

DO I HAVE TO REFRIGERATE MY OFFERINGS?

Raw food + juice needs some TLC, as it is highly perishable. So, show your favourite East London Juice Co. offering some love + keep it refrigerated at all times when you’re not sipping mindfully.

WHY IS MY JUICE SEPARATED? IS IT SPOILED?

Separation in your juice is always a good sign of no preservatives or pasteurisation. As long as juice is within the ‘consume by’ date and refrigerated properly, a multi-tone juice does not indicate spoilage. Always refrigerate your juice, shake before drinking and enjoy on or before the ‘best before’ date.

ARE ALL YOUR OFFERINGS ORGANIC?

We are currently creating a ‘beyond organic’ hierarchy and plan to disseminate to further responsibility in the industry. It’s not just about an organic certification. We have met farmers who don’t use certification, but work in a permaculture way which can be sometimes far better than certified organic. Most of our ingredients are certified organic, but there are some that aren’t because we either find what we believe is a more ethical/ healthy option or there is no certification offered for that ingredient. That being said- all our juice is Certified Organic. 

WHY DO YOU SELL BONE BROTH IF YOU ARE A VEGAN COMPANY?

We don’t claim to be a vegan company, although the majority of our offerings are. Our focus is on finding the most nutritionally-beneficial products and pairing that with our mission to be kind to the environment. We brew organic bones that would otherwise be discarded. Our offerings are created to leave you feeling like your own version of Super (wo)man. 

WHAT STUFF DO YOU PUT IN YOUR PRODUCTS ?

All of our botanic + small batch offerings contain organic, ethically traded or wild-harvested ingredients. You can be sure that our products will always be free from gluten, unwanted dyes, GMO’s, refined sugars, cheap fillers and pasteurisation.

CAN I CONTINUE “SIPPIN’ ON MY GIN + JUICE?

Our personal approach is all about balance (laid back.)
On the occasional Friday night, you might find our own juices getting spiked.

AM I ALLOWED TO SMOKE DURING A (RE)TREAT?

We invite you to carefully listen to what your body needs + our (Re)treat is a great opportunity to step away from ‘bad’ habits and introduce more goodness into your body.

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

We will do our best to avoid charging a cancellation fee (we’re not into pinching pennies), but if the preparation of your order has started, we may not be able to refund you.

DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?

If you suspect an issue with any of our offerings, please let us know immediately and we will remedy the situation. We want you to love our offerings as much as we do, but we also run a tight ship and our offerings are small batch/low margin, so returns + exchanges are not permitted.
